And it's the little things that make me feel that way. Today I was sitting outside of Burger King with my husband at lunch when I saw a man walk by.
This man had one regular hiking type boot on with the normal amount of sole and other foot wore a similar hiker with about 3 inches of sole on the bottom. I thought how having to walk around with one leg shorter than the other could eventually make problems for your body. And I thought how in some countries there would be nothing you could do but walk around without the extra inches on the other shoe.
Of course, I also thought about how much it must cost to have that special shoe made and how the fashions must be rather limited. However, I think if having one leg shorter than the other was one of my problems, I'd probably just feel gratitude that someone actually could/would make them.
The point is that we live in a place where such things are available to be had. And that's a good thing.
Keep your swords sharp!
